Our third adventure while in Dubois.

Today we decided to stay a little closer to Dubois and see what there is in town. To our delight we found the National Museum of Military Vehicles. Without a doubt this is one of the nicest and largest military museums I have been to! For sure it is the largest privately owned museum. Yes it is all owned by one very rich man and he has plans to double the size of it in a few years. It covers all of the wars that America has been involved in and it really should take more than one day to see all of it. If the tank I have pictured here is a Patton Tank they were built by the Chrysler Corp. in Newark, DE in the same plant that eventually became the Newark Auto Assembly Plant which in 1980 became my last place of full time employment.

After leaving the museum we took a ride around the area and there are no pictures that truly show the beauty but on a clear day you can find some pretty good sights.

It was pretty clear when we drove past this ranch.
As well on this day when we where headed west out of Dubois.

Well that covers our next adventure while staying in Dubois.
