We are heading west, but not real fast.

Finally got word from Cummins that the RV is ready to go so we made plans to pick it up on Wednesday June 15th unfortunately Edgar decided that we needed to go see the vet first! We packed the car before going to the vet and by 12:30 we are headed to Harrisburg! It seems that we both forgot to pack some very important items but fortunately we are only 30 minutes from home, so we turned around and headed back. On the way Judy misjudged the width of the road and managed to hit the curb hard enough to damage the from tire. Of course, no one has the tire we need in stock so we will start over tomorrow. Which also meant that we had to carry all of the cold and frozen foods back into the house.

Thursday arrives we get the new tire, load the car again and head for Harrisburg. We finally get there about 3:30, pay our bill, retrieve the bicycles which we left chained to the fence and spend a few hours cleaning the coach and decide to wait until Friday to actually hit the road. So, Friday morning we get everything organized say our farewells and take off for points west and much to our dismay in just eleven miles we are sitting on the side of the highway! What now??? Something has caused a four-inch-wide strip of tire tread to separate from the tire case and before you ask, no this is not a recap tire! After several phone calls we finally find a tire company that provided roadside service, had a tire in stock and could fit us in sometime that day. Three hours later the repairman arrived and made the necessary repairs after which we followed him to his home office where we paid our bill and finally got on the road by four that afternoon and we made it to Somerset, PA and spent the night at Walmart. To understate the situation even Edgar is exhausted.

Fortunately, it did not blow and cause limited damage.
This mechanic was great, and he didn’t even have to remove the wheel from the RV

Since all three of our problems happened in Pennsylvania, I am hoping that once we left the state, we are good to go. Take care and keep in touch,
