I don’t know what I am doing.
I thought that this one got posted but evidently as captioned above ” I don’t know what I am doing. The first part is history now and I will add just a taste of what we are already doing.
Well with only four days left we are getting ready to set off on another adventure. I have to admit that this does feel a little weird that we are starting out without Edgar! Yes, we will have more freedom to explore but the way that he would so joyously greet us upon our return to the coach.

There is always so much to get done in the last week before shoving off. Did we remember to pack everything that we will be needed. But since there is a Walmart in almost every town If we do really for get it we can buy it again. The biggest things will be a intermittent water leak in the wet bay and did we transfer everything from the Explorer to the Jeep. Since we have already had a shake down weekend in June I am pretty comfortable with getting the Jeep hooked up and pulling away but it will get easier and me do it more often. When we leave here on Monday, we will be heading west with our first major stop in St. Louis. I don’t know what we will be doing but I am pretty sure we will be going back to the Arch!
We are already in St. Louis and have be doing sight seeing stuff. So far we have done the mural mile, take a 90-minute trolly ride around town and toured the Budweiser factory.
There is a ten- or twelve-feet high concrete retention wall along the east side of the city to prevent flooding. Many years ago people started spray painting it with all kinds of graffiti. Eventually as the artistic side became more readily accepted a new era took over. Now the graffiti is accepted and even promoted to the point that over Labor Day weekend they a festival that attracts artists from around the world to show off their skills. It is advertised as the “Mural Mile” but today is stretches for possibly two and half miles!

Well, that is enough about St. Louis and probably the rest of Missouri for this trip! We have even started to our next lay-over in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. On the way we will be stopping at a brewery in Topeka Kansas and a Walmart Parking lot in Colby Kansas for one night.
Hopefully I will be able to make more posts in a timely manner. Feel free to share this page with friends and family.
Safe travels & adventures. Thanks for posting this year’s trip.
